- A Boke of Gode Cookery
- Wonderful online reference on medieval cooking. Contains recipes and tips for modern kitchens.
- Kookhistorie
- A site by Marleen van der Molen-Willebrands on Dutch cookbooks from 1514 to 1593. Transcriptions of three historical cookbooks, part of the old West European culture. Some parts are in English, but most is in Dutch. Very interesting.

- Fabulous Feasts: Medieval Cookery and Ceremony, by Madeleine Pelner Cosman
- I found this one first when I was in college. The recipe that intrigued me at the time was "Valencie", which was for fried oranges. I have made this for various people, who, dubious at first, proclaimed it wonderful!
- Take a Thousand Eggs or More (2 volumes), by Cindy M. Renfrow
- Cindy is very good at what she researches. This two volume set has the original recipe and a modern adaptation. The second volume is full of medieval recipes, leaving it up to the reader to make the modern equivalent. Excellent for the person unafraid of experimenting in the kitchen! They are spiral bound, which makes it easy to lay flat while you are working.
