The Barony of Raven's Fort Page

Left KnightRight Knight Welcome to the Barony of Raven's Fort, a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism. The lands of The Barony of Raven's Fort include the areas surrounding the cities of Huntsville, Cleveland, Conroe and Livingston, Texas. It is in the Southern Region of the Kingdom of Ansteorra, which encompasses the states of Oklahoma and Texas (excepting El Paso, which is in the Mountain Time Zone). The SCA, Inc. is an international non-profit organization comprised of 13 kingdoms worldwide.

You might wonder, "What do we do?" The SCA is an organization dedicated to the study and recreation of the best parts of the Medieval Ages between 600AD and 1600AD. Members create their own clothing (or barter for someone else to do it for them), dance, compose and perform poetry and songs, do calligraphy and illumination, make armor, armored combat, rapier combat, archery, brewing, weaving, woodworking, blacksmithing, storytelling, heraldry, cooking, jewelry making, axe throwing, and many more things. Basically if someone did it in the Middle Ages, Someone does it in the SCA!

You don't have to have clothes or a name already picked out to play, nor do you need to be a member. Just contact the local Hospitaler, and they will get you started or answer any questions. Interested persons may also contact us via the US Postal Service:
