In response to numerous requests for maps, herein is our Internet Map Policy.
We apologize for any inconvenience, but it is Baronial policy to not post maps to the site on the Internet. We do not wish to make it difficult for new and old members to find us, however our site is private property as well as a working ranch, and we have to be careful to protect access for the owners who graciously allow us use of it (before, during, and after events -- which in providing a map basically invites people to come anytime they wish).
"Ok, so how do I get there if you won't post a map here?"
There are a few ways to get directions, if you
are interested in finding the site:
- We encourage everyone to become members of
the SCA. With your Sustaining membership, you are provided with a subscription to the Black Star, which is the Official Kingdom Publication for all event announcements. You also help your local group maintain their status.
- Find someone with a newsletter that has the
announcement in it. Be prepared to answer the question "So why aren't you a member?"
- The autocrat, who's name and email (if they have one) are provided on the event page when there is an event coming up, is happy to provide directions, copies of event announcements, etc., to anyone who asks. It is part of their job! Be sure to allow plenty of time to get directions, as they will likely be out at the site much of the time prior to the event (and especially the Friday of the event -- if you waited that long to ask, you are unlikely to get any help this way).
- The virtual scribe can give you instructions if you wish. Please mention what direction you are coming from, so you may receive the best instructions. The mailbox is checked regularly during the day. However, the same caveat applies... the day of the event is probably too late to ask.
Thank you for your understanding.
