 Our local newsletter is Quoth the Raven. The chronicler accepts submissions of anything pertaining to the era we study, officer's missives, event announcements, informational advertisements, etc. There are relatively few things you cannot do with a newsletter, however one thing specifically prohibited is using it as a political platform. For-profit or paid advertising is also disallowed. If you have a submission, please contact thecurrent Chronicler.SubscriptionsSubscriptions to Quoth the Raven are available for $15 per year. Checks should be made out to "SCA - The Barony of Raven's Fort", and sent to the Reeve. You should include your address and email so you may receive a confirmation of receipt. Huntsville, Texas 77342 Publication GuidelinesThis is a general rule of thumb for what you need to do to publish in the Quoth, but here are the basics:
- All submissions must be accompanied by a release form.
- Submissions are due by the third Thursday of the month prior to the month you wish to publish.
- Articles suspected of plagarism will not be published.
- Artwork must be original artwork or public domain. If it is public domain, you should provide a reference from which it was culled (a photocopy of the copyright page showing the date published should be adequate).
Release FormThere are three versions of the submission form, one in Word97 format, one in PDF format, and the last in good old text. Select the one that is appropriate to you. Word97 Format (30K): PubRelease.doc
